IN June of 1948, four baby girls were born to Charles & Margaret Good, from Westerleigh, South Gloucestershire. History was made because the quads became the first in the world to survive a caesarean section birth. 'THE GOOD STORY' is the mother's record of how she brought up the four girls: Bridget, Frances, Elizabeth and Jennifer plus their older sister Susan. No matter how tired Margaret was at the end of her day, she would type out notes of the day's activities and associated events. That record has been compiled into book form and published. This web site is but a sample of some of that history. The book is of great interest and contains valuable lessons for today's parents of multiple birth families, and for paediatricians, health visitors and child care workers, teachers and educational psychologists. |
